Being a dad is the best feeling in the world, there is no question about that.

YouTube, as though reading my mind and aware of my wants and needs, recommended a video review on Maxi Climber. Instantly, I knew I had found it.
Now, a Maxi Climber is an indoor fitness equipment that has been designed to mimic natural rock climbing movements of the body.

What attracted me at first before I even knew the benefits and features it possessed was the fact that it can be used behind closed doors.
I thought to myself with this vertical climber, I would not need to pay for any gym membership (which goes to waste most of the time since I hardly ever attend) and would only need thirty minutes on it daily to get back in shape.
This is the time I can squeeze into my busy schedule with great ease when my princess is taking a power nap (those are all she seems to take during the day).
At the moment I have had this exercise climber for about 2 months and the results are insane. My fitness and aerobics have improved and have gotten to save more money I otherwise used to spend on gym memberships.

When the machine arrived at my doorstep, it came 90% preassembled which made it easier to set up. Being a stay-at-home dad with a hyperactive daughter to deal with, you can only imagine my joy.
As for the weight, the unit comes in at only 33 pounds. This is easy for pretty much anyone to move it from the workout space into storage.
Adding to this, it is important that I point out the Maxi Climber, though perfect for getting your body in perfect shape and losing fat evenly, it has a maximum weight capacity of 240 pounds.
Sure some individuals surpass the weight limit of this equipment and have used it without any problems. But even so, I wouldn’t recommend you risk it.
There are numerous alternatives with higher weight capacities that you could consider if you are heavier than 240 pounds, or you could start on a different workout regimen before you embark on the climbing exercise machine.

Safety is the number one consideration for most individuals looking to purchase their fitness equipment. No one is looking to buy a product that is a safety hazard and that will only cause injuries and damage to them.
The maxi climber has been constructed from durable material that is strong to withstand constant wear and tear.
As for its stability, the design it sports, similar to that of a tripod stand, only with horizontal additions acting as the base for additional support, help to stabilize you when working out.
But even with the inbuilt features for stability, it is imperative that the maxi climber is set up on a flat ground to enhance its stability as you mimic climbing movements.

In addition to the ergonomic design, the equipment also features isometric nonstick grips that provide a comfortable feel while working out.
Those who have hit the gym in the past, worked out for several hours and left with blisters on their hands, will appreciate this feature as I did.
It features a Digital timer that starts automatically when I start my workout and stops when I am done. The timer allows me to keep track of my workout easily.
I do not have to struggle speaking out numbers amidst the heavy breathing. On the other hand, being an automatic timer, you will not have to keep reminding yourself to start the timer half way through your workout.
Benefits - 3 COOL Advantages
When I first purchased the unit, I was all ecstatic and excited and could not wait to get on it. Looking back at this moment, I detect a sense of naivety in my expectations. Sure I had worked out before but not enough to be on the equipment for extended periods of time every day of the week.
Maxi Climber comes with a recommendation of working out for 10 – 15 minutes three times in a week (only slipping a day in between the workouts) for individuals who have been off the wagon for a while.
As your body gains fitness and improves, you can work from there. After a while, you will experience amazing results all from the comfort of your home.
Now, this "mountain climber machine" has been designed to work on your legs, lower and upper body and the core muscles. You can say the equipment does not only mimic the movements of rock climbing but also leaves you with the same workout effects.
You should, however, bear in mind that these areas, especially the legs, rely on you maintaining a good posture while you work out.
I love the fact that this equipment does not strain the joints as treadmills do. Also, manufacturers and workout experts have it that the working out on this machine for only 60 minutes will burn 500 calories.
But as stated before, you should not expect to be able to have the 60 minutes workout immediately. If you are like me, it will take you several months to get to that level.
The machine is super quiet. Picture this. During my workout, when my sweet girl has blacked out to dreamland, I will push my body to the limit during which there will be a lot of strain and movements.
But even with all this movement, the equipment does not produce annoying squeaky sounds. As a matter of fact, most of the times my panting is louder than noise from the equipment.
As stated above, you will not have to spend a whole three hours on the machine 7 days a week to yield results. In fact going past 15 minutes on this equipment will be a challenge.
The manufacturer recommends only 10 sessions encompassing 3 15 minute workout in a week to yield the expected results.
PROS - What I Liked
In addition to the above benefits, below are some pros of using this unit.

After getting the machine out of the box, it is almost ready to go. I say ‘almost’ because it comes 90% pre-assembled.
Finishing up on the setup will not have you spend more than 20 minutes on it. The process is easy and straightforward.
This is a major advantage for those who are not handy and who most often than not have to call a friend or relative from the other side of town to come and bail them out of a DIY project (regardless of how small or large the project may be).
It has been constructed with cold-rolled steel. Compared to its competitors that feature plastic parts, this is a major upgrade.
The durable materials that go into making this machine contribute to its strength and longevity. The machine will withstand the test of time and your vigorous movements as well.
Now, for all these conveniences and features, you probably are thinking that the unit is so expensive. Well, it actually is pretty well priced.

It is important to note that no matter how great a product seems to be, it always has some downsides. Using this machine, there are several things that I have noted over time.
Tall users will need pretty high ceilings
The product has been designed to be adjustable. However, the higher you adjust the equipment, the more overhead space you will need in your home.
Put practically, tall users working out on this unit will need to have ceiling heights around 8 feet high.
You work against your weight
Unlike with other indoor workout equipment, you cannot vary the resistance on this machine since it uses your body as its resistance.

Setting up the climber exercise equipment in my home, even though for specified periods of time during workouts, I needed to create an environment that made me feel more like in a workout zone and take the exercising more seriously.
