Beach body all year-long! Who wouldn’t want that?

Like most women and men, having a completely toned body is a dream that I have wanted to achieve all my life.

I am someone who has been struggling to lose weight since I was young.

I am so glad I found Chalene Johnson’s Hardcore on the Floor DVD.

That is why I am sharing everything I know about this exercise through this Beachbody PiYo Review.

This program is a combination of Pilates and Yoga without having you hold the intense poses for a long time. It speeds up the movements through its dynamic and flowing sequences which mean it can also improve the results.

I was surprised when I initially learned about this program because I found out that I can burn some serious calories, tone my muscles, and increase my flexibility at the same time without even running or jumping.

At first, I was just curious. If not a bit skeptical, because ever since I started working out, every exercise I tried would include some running or jump exercises. So this is different, but I have proven to be effective also.


I found out that the company behind this product, Beachbody, was the same company behind the Insanity workout which was also a great program.

However, not all people can do the intense high-impact Insanity exercises which has a lot of people jumping and running with its exercises.

PiYo is a no-impact exercise program but it can deliver the same results as intense and high-impact exercises. It is the best for me because it doesn't give my knees and ankles the virulent strain I was getting with the other programs.

I am so thankful for this workout, and that’s why I am doing this review to let people, especially moms like me, know that this is a very effective workout without the strain caused by high-impact exercises.

What to Expect in the Hardcore on the Floor DVD

Celebrity fitness trainer Chalene Johnson developed this 30-minute workout to tighten every muscle in your core without having to get up off the floor. It is a bodyweight training that will make you sweat in 30 minutes.

You will sculpt and define your abs, legs, glutes, and arms with no weights, running, or jumping. It is truly a no-impact workout but with high intensity and hardcore results. All you need are your yoga mat, towel, water, and space where you can move in any direction.

This training can get your body sexy, strong, and flexible without strain. It can help you get a firm and flexible core which is essential in performing a lot of movements efficiently and safely.

PiYo exercise routines can help you tighten and also tone your abs to make it sexy and very well-defined. This workout has helped me enhance my balance, improve my stability, and increased my fat-burning intensity and I am sure it will do the same to anyone who tries it.

The results are amazing. I still can't believe that I was able to achieve the shape I am in now.

Who Is Chalene Johnson?

Chalene Johnson is a celebrity fitness instructor and also a New York Times best-selling author. She already has created several other fitness programs like TurboFire, ChaLEAN Extreme, and Turbo Jam which are among those most popular exercise programs made for in-home workouts.

She created the PiYo because she wanted to have a fitness program that could give hardcore results but without the strain that one gets when doing high-impact exercises.

It originally started as a live class, but now it is already on DVD so you can do the exercises at home. You no longer have to go to the gym.


One of the best things I could boast about is that it is a fitness program for people of all body types, all ages, and fitness levels.

You don't even need to have experience with either Yoga or Pilates. Chalene does an excellent job in providing a walk through about everything that you need to know.

Another advantage is that you don't need to memorize complicated choreography. Every move is something that everyone can easily follow.

I am not very good at following complex choreography myself, but the routines usually start with a beginner friendly level.

You only need to follow Chalene as she demonstrates every move. Then, before you know it, you are already better at it and at the same time, your strength and flexibility will increase.


One issue I have with this DVD is the music they used in the videos. I just have a different taste when it comes to my music.

Anyway, that is something that you can easily change. I usually mute the video and play a different background music to my preference.


If you are someone who is looking for a training program that is not about dancing or weight lifting and is not high-impact that can hurt your knees and ankles, then the PiYo might just be the right one for you as it is for me.

Beachbody’s PiYo is a combination of Pilates and Yoga, but with dynamic and fast flowing sequences that burn calories and increase metabolic rate so you can burn even more calories.

It is a no-impact workout that people of any age, body types, or fitness level can easily follow.
